Linda Darlene Stratton

Linda Darlene Stratton 1942 - 2011 Linda Darlene Stratton, 68, of Twin Falls, passed away April 23, 2011 at her home in Twin Falls. Born in Upland California October 12th, 1942, grew up in Blythe California before relocating to Hemet, California where she broke through a gender barrier by becoming the first female telephone installer in the state of California, which other women later followed in her path. Darlene was a friend to everyone and wanted to make certain that everyone was taken care of before herself. Her friendship and bond between her and her grandchildren was Darlene's first priority in the later years of her life. Surviving are two brothers Norman Owens and Gary Owens, four children - Jerry, Rob, Diane, John, son in law Jon, daughter in laws Lisa and Stephanie, six grandchildren - Holly, Corey, Casey, Liberty, Joshua, & Evan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Norma Frye Owens. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend that will be missed by all that knew her. The family invites Linda's friends to join them for a celebration of life to be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd.
