Billy Joe Harbison

Billy Joe Harbison 1939 - 2011 Billy Joe Harbison, age 72 of Jerome, Idaho died April 15, 2011 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Billy was born January 5, 1939 in Bozeman, MT, the son of Elijah John and Edith Ellen Crawley Harbison. His father, Elijah was killed in WWII and the family moved to Grandview, ID and then to Homedale, ID. Billy grew up and attended schools in Homedale. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1958. He came home and went to work as a dynamiter in construction. On June 6, 2005 in Jackpot, NV, Billy married his loving wife, Joan Gail Norris Harbison. Billy inherited an instant family and was thrilled. He was known to all as a gentle, loving person and loved by all who knew him. He will be so lovingly missed by his family and friends. Surviving him is his wife, Joan of Jerome, ID; step-sons, Eugene Wright of Jerome, ID and Ron (Vickie) Schaffer of Coeur d' Alene, ID; step-daughters, Robin Shell of Rocksprings, WY, Connie and Brandi, both of Jerome, ID; 6 step-grandchildren; Also surviving are his brothers, John (Carol), Tom (Teri), Albert Kenison (Diane) and his sister, Phyllis (James) Black and many nieces and nephews. Private Family services will be held. Cremation and Private Inurnment are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home and Crematory of Twin Falls, Idaho.
