Elsie Louise Kibbee, 79 of Twin Falls passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, surrounded by her family. Elsie was born on July 2I, 1931 at Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Amos S. and Myrtle H. Thompson Kibbee. At a young age, she moved with her family to Pocatello, Idaho where she continued her education. She later worked for Mountain Bell Telephone in Pocatello before moving to Twin Falls in 1960. There she continued working for Mountain Bell Telephone until her retirement. She was proud to be a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Elsie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and enjoyed doing volunteer work for the church. She also enjoyed helping raise her niece and nephew and her great niece; Samantha Howard. In his later years, she cared for her father, Amos Kibbee until his death in 1980. Elsie enjoyed being busy and her favorite hobbies were reading and gardening. She also volunteered in several groups, such as Volunteers Against Violence, and Grandparents Raising Grandkids. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Caroline Bohn and her brother, Eugene Kibbee. She is survived by her two sisters; La Vonne Kibbee and Faith Howard, both of Twin Falls. Her three nieces; Mona Cottrell, Debbie Schonover and Connie Austin and three nephews; Kelly Howard, Rick Kibbee and Rick Bohn. Her great nieces and nephews; Sammie Howard, Jacob Howard, Hope Brunetti and Justin Brunetti and several great great nieces and nephews. Visitation for Elsie will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. Interment will follow at Twin Falls Cemetery, Twin Falls, ID. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
