Joslyn D. Miller 1957 - 2011 Joslyn Diane Miller, of Twin Falls, Idaho, returned home to her heavenly Father, peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 4th, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 10th, 1957 in Minneapolis, MN to proud parents Don and Lilah Gill, a few years later they moved to Iowa. Joslyn and her family lived in numerous towns across Iowa, however Rake, IA was always known as home. After graduating high school in Spencer, Iowa, Joslyn moved to Idaho to be with her sister Julie and her family. Shortly after her move, she met the love of her life, Shawn; together they had one daughter, Kari Lynn. Kari was the light of her life and she was never too proud to share stories or accomplishments with her friends and coworkers about her daughter. Joslyn was the mom everyone loved and adopted as their own. She had a way about her that always left you with a smile. Always there to offer advice, or a shoulder of support, Joslyn was the go-to friend for countless people. Joslyn could easily be known as the face of the Twin Falls Target. For the past 18 years, she was recognized in a myriad of places. From the aisles of grocery stores to the library, "Don't I know you from somewhere?" was an all too typical question. Gracefully, she would smile and let them know about her red and khaki connection. Her coworkers were more than just people she worked with, they became her second family. Her smiling face will truly be missed from the service desk and her voice from the team member "walkies". Joslyn enjoyed the outdoors and reading a good book while soaking in the sun. She could often be found relaxed on the shore while Shawn and Kari fished the waters below. She had a profound love of ducks and their symbol of strength. For those who knew Joslyn, she was the epitome of courage and a pillar of strength, not only for herself but for all around her, particularly for Kari. In recent years, Joslyn lived life to the fullest including trips whitewater rafting in Stanley, playing blackjack in Jackpot, and especially welcoming a grandson, Carson, whom she loved to hear laugh, and cuddle with while reading bedtime stories. Joslyn is survived by her daughter Kari (Charles) Lindemood and their son, Carson; her sisters-in-law Macie and MaiLin Miller; brothers-in-laws Rod, Phillip and Vince Miller; her nieces Jennifer Peterson, Krystyl Miller and Lauren Miller; her nephews Scott Peterson, Andrew Peacock, Nick Miller and Mason Miller; her aunt and uncle, Kathleen and Daniel Bowman; and her loving golden retriever, Abbey Mae. . Joslyn was a rare treasure in life and will be dearly missed by all whose paths she crossed. A memorial service will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the funeral home for a memorial plaque to be placed at the Mountain States Tumor Institute at St. Luke's Magic Valley.
