Virginia Bessie Daphne Mullins, 96, a lifetime resident of Kimberly, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. Mom was born November 2, 1914 in Clover, Idaho, the daughter of A.B. and Rose Dobbs. The family of five daughters and one son settled in Filer and Berger Area to begin farming in the newly developed irrigated land. Mom graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1932. On July 23, 1939, Mom married Sherman D. Mullins and they settled in Kimberly. Mom worked as a waitress with her mother-in-law at the Kimberly Cafe in her early years, then began her career as a clerk of the Kimberly Post Office. She retired from the Post Office after 39 years. Mom an Dad, both enjoyed being Snow Birds and traveling to Yuma, Arizona to spend the winters. Mom's enjoyment was camping in the trailer and fishing from the pontoon boat. Survivors include her son - Sherman Daryl (Loretta) Mullins of Twin Falls, grandson - Trent Mullins of Salt Lake City, Utah, two step-grandchildren - Teri Willoughby of Fredrick, CO, and Gordon Willoughby of St. George, UT. Mom was preceded in death by her Husband - Sherman, her parents, four sisters and one brother, and a grandson Aaron Todd Mullins. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home Life Tribute Center, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, Idaho. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park at 11:00 A.M.
