Ella Sophia Taute, 94, of Twin Falls, passed away March 8, 2011 at her daughters home in Rupert with her loving family by her side. She was born April 28, 1916 , in Byron Thayer County, Nebraska to Henry F. and Mary (Reinke) Kniep. She was baptized in the name of the Triune on May 7, 1916, in St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Byron, Nebraska and confirmed her Christian Faith on April 13, 1930, in the Clover Trinity Lutheran Church. Ella moved from Nebraska to Idaho with her parents in 1921, and resided on the Clover tract until her marriage to Dale Taute on Nov. 10, 1946, except for 18 months when she resided in Denver, CO, where she had employment and attended business college. After her marriage to Dale, they farmed north east of Filer until 1953, when Dale became employed by the Inspection Service of the Department of Agriculture, and they moved to the city of Twin Falls. Ella was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church, and an active member of the Women's Missionary League, and also a Charter Member of the Twin Falls Lioness Club. Surviving is her daughter Diane (Fred) Hobbs of Rupert, two grandchildren Shanda (Sam) Chapa of Paul and Erin (Chris) Askew of Nampa, four great grandchildren - Sammy and Shelbie Chapa of Paul, Hailey and Audrey Askew of Nampa and one sister - Helen Kneip of Twin Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, her parents and eight brothers. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Ella encouraged others by her faith and loved to share her confirmation verse - "Grow in Grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Friends may call on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2055 W. Filer Ave., Twin Falls, ID with burial following at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
