HOWARD H. WILCOX 1927 - 2011 Howard H. Wilcox, 83, of Twin Falls, born September 30, 1927, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday March 7, 2011 with family at his side. He was the son of Paul and Sarah Wilcox of Heyburn, ID. Howard graduated from Heyburn High School in 1945. He served proudly in the United States Navy on the U.S. S. Massachusetts. In 1947, he married the love of his life, Opal Rudolph and in this marriage, they were blessed with three children, Michael, Connie & Kurtis. In his early years, Howard worked for the city of Burley and the Burley Flour Mill. In 1955, he moved to Rupert where he worked for the OK Tire Shop. In 1963, he moved to Twin Falls where he opened and managed the Big O Tire Shop. In 1970, he worked for Cenex in Curry, ID until he was forced to retire due to health reasons. He loved to fish and hunt and spent countless hours fishing at one of his favorite fishing holes at Clark Canyon Reservoir in Montana where he met many friends throughout the years and always enjoyed swapping fishing stories. He also traveled the United States extensively and Germany, England and other parts of Europe. Howard is survived by his wife, Opal of Twin Fails. Two children, Connie (Bob) Lancaster of Twin Falls, Kurtis (Gail) Wilcox of Columbia Falls, MT. Eight Grandchildren "Kim (John) Young, Mark (Aubrey) Stout", Shaun (Sara) Wilcox, Stephanie Wilcox, Wendy (Bill) Saxton, Chris Wilcox, Brandon Wilcox & Jaiman Wilcox and 8 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son- Michael H. Wilcox, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. As he requested, there will be no funeral services.
