Marie Estella McClain

Marie "Dolly" Estella McClain, 79, of Hansen, passed away February 21, 2011 with her loving husband and family by her side. She was born on February 7, 1932. Dolly was raised and attended school in Twin Falls and resided there until her marriage to Robert McClain on August 21, 1949. Dolly moved to Hazelton with Bob where they farmed and ranched for the next 38 years. They then moved to Hansen in 1987, where she resided until the time of her passing. Prior to her children being born, Dolly was an LPN working in the Maternity Ward of the Twin Falls Hospital. Dolly enjoyed camping and fishing with her family, and took great pride in making beautiful ceramics. She loved to play pinochle with her family and friends. Dolly had a special gift of growing beautiful flowers. Dolly was an amazing cook and always took extra care to add her special ingredient to each dish she made, "Love". By far her greatest love and accomplishment was caring for her husband Bob and raising her loving children and grandchildren. Surviving are her husband - Robert McClain of Hansen, sons - Ron (Olive) McClain of Boise, Ed (Julie) McClain of Arvada, CO, and Dan (Sheila) McClain of Buhl, along with 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents John and Ruby Jordon, two sisters - Doramae Looney and Hazel Pepper and one brother Earl Jordon. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive guest at a visitation from 6 - 8 P.M. on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Funeral services will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.
