The greatest mechanic we knew put away his tools on the morning of February 15, 2011. W. Norton Wade at the age of 70 passed away from natural causes in his home with his wife, Peggy beside him. "Wade" as he preferred to go by; was a strong man, with many wonderful skills and talents. He was born on May 25, 1940 in Cortez, Colorado to Adrian B. Wade Sr. and Flossie L. Weems and is the youngest of three children. Wade was the typical "heathen" with a great sense of humor and had a knack for pranks. He served in the United States Army and witnessed the completion of the Berlin Wall in Germany. After the Army he went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Mechanics from the University of Maryland. Wade married Nancy Hotchkiss in 1963 and together had two children, later they divorced. In 1976 he married Peggy Marie Cunningham and had three more children. Wade had many jobs, all centering on his skills with mechanics. He retired from The Amalgamated Sugar Co. in 2006 due to medical reasons. He had been our Miracle since. Wade enjoyed spending time with his family. Many years his hobby consisted of rebuilding a 1938 Chevy pickup. All of his children participated in this hobby and enjoyed summer rides in back of the pickup to have ice cream on Sunday or occasionally to the barndance. We all enjoyed attending the local car shows and his passion of antiques and hotrods. Wade also enjoyed hunting and fishing along with country western music and movies. Wade is survived by his two siblings; Adrian B. Wade Jr. of Durango, Co. and SeDoanya (Dale) Campbell of Hesperus, Colorado. Also surviving is his wife Peggy Marie Cunningham Wade of Twin Falls, and by his five children; Yoyonda (Mike Porter) of The Dalles, Oregon, Steven Wade of Virginia, Yvonne (Jake) Ray of Twin Falls, Craig Wade of Twin Falls, and Nikki (Kelly) Aldrich of Buhl. Wade has five grandchildren, including Ryan and Tommy Burnett, Kayla and Jacob Ray and Laurinda Aldrich. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends. Wade is preceded in death by parents, Adrian B. Wade Sr. and Flossie L. Weems and his mother-in-law Jean Ann Johnson. Keep in mind that for every loved one gone, the family and friends get closer. Our family is one step closer together. We love you Wade, always have and always will. "Our lives are shaped as much by those who leave us as they are by those who stay. Loss is our legacy. Insight is our gift. Memory is our guide." - Hope Edelman A service of remembrance will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, Idaho on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1:00 P.M.
