Tammy K. Pritchett 1963 - 2011 Tammy Kay Pritchett, 47, of Boise passed away January 7, 2011 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Boise. She was born November 21, 1963 in Reno, Nevada. She graduated from Elk Grove High School in Elk Grove, California in 1981. While in school she sang in the school choir and enjoyed playing softball. She loved horses and assisted her mother in their training. Tammy rode Barrel Horses in Ghymkhana events, and often rode lead horses to escort race horses to the starting gates for races. On February 22, 2000, she married Jonny Pritchett in Chatanooga, Tennessee. Throughout her life, Tammy was faced with many physical struggles. As a child she contracted Scarletina, this caused her Kidneys to fail when she was 19. She underwent two Kidney transplants, years of dialysis, hip and knee replacements and the loss of her left leg and her right eye. Through all these struggles she never lost her zest for life and kept a positive spirit. She always had a smile and battled hard to never let her illnesses get her down. She was strong to a fault. Her family will always cherish her example as a strong willed person. One of Tammy's dreams was to have a child. Due to her illness, the Doctors told her that this would be impossible. She overcame this obstacle and gave birth to her son, Billy in 1989. One of her last desires was to swim with the dolphins. She accomplished this by taking a cruise with her mom and step-dad,to the Bahamas and swimming with the Dolphins, a highlight of her life. Surviving are her Parents - Father - Morris (Luda) Parker of Sacramento, California, Mother Barbara (Lars) Hansen of Boise, Husband - Jonny Pritchett of Boise, Son - Billy Haigh of Sacramento, Brother - Mark Parker of Boise and nephew, Ryan Parker. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. at the Relyea Funeral Chapel, 318 N. Latah in Boise. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Relyea Funeral Chapel. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
