Mary Mae Johnson, 85 of Kimberly, Idaho passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 4, 2011 at home with her family at her side; Her pain forever gone! Mary was born September 19, 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Eugene and Nellie Bond, moving to Granite Falls, Washington at a young age where she went on to graduate from school. Mary met a handsome young man, Jack Johnson and they married on October 28, 1944. To this union were born eight children, Mary, Jack and the family moved to Idaho to raise their children in Buhl and then settled in Kimberly. They pastored at the Buhl FreeWill Baptist Church in Buhl, Idaho. She worked several jobs throughout her life, to which she enjoyed most were cooking at Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital and Environmental Services at CSI, retiring to care for her husband. Surviving Mary are seven children Barbara (Ron) Barrett, Lynn (Tom) Ginder, Joy Blackman, Lanny (Dana) Johnson, Dean (Linda) Johnson, Steve Johnson (who cared for mom), Robert (Stephanie) Johnson and daughter-in-law, Sandra Johnson. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and also five siblings all living in Washington state. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, son Larry, grandson Kolby and many aunts uncles and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to express special thanks to the ER personnel, Dr. Spritzer, Dr. Reddy and Dr. Mogelson and the many nurses who gave her care and treatment. Funeral services for Mary will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Visitation will be held Friday evening January 7, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. Interment will be held following the services at the West End Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Jack.
