Donald Frederick McGregor

Donald F. McGregor 1936 - 2011 Donald (Sonny) Frederick McGregor, 74, life-long resident of the Salmon Tract, passed away January 1, 2011 at his home. He was born November 8, 1936 in Twin Falls County, the son of Lester McGregor and Ola (Coleman) McGregor. On October 7, 1956, he married Sharon Ruhter in Twin Falls, Idaho. Donald attended school at Berger, Hollister and Filer graduating in 1954. After graduation, he worked for Jerry's Conoco, L.L. Langdon and the Amalgamated Sugar Company, as well as starting to farm on his own. Farming remained his passion throughout his lifetime. Don is survived by his wife, Sharon at home; sons - Donald Eugene (Elizabeth) McGregor and Jon Edward (Neva) McGregor all of Twin Falls, daughter in law - Wendy McGregor of Filer, sisters Jean (Paul) Miller of Twin Falls and Shirley (Wylie J.) Pullin, of Kimberly, along with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Brian Lee McGregor in 2003. Memorial services for Don will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, with Pastor Paul Jordan officiating.
