Alfred William Lampe, Jr. 1942 - 2010 Alfred William Lampe, Jr. age 68 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away December 29, 2010 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Al was born in Tribune, Kansas, the son of Alfred and Ada (Allen) Lampe. He, along with his two brothers Elmer and Harvey and sister Phyllis were raised in Filer, Idaho. After graduation from Filer High School, Al enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for four years and was Honorably Discharged and then served in the Army reserves. Upon returning to civilian life, he worked for Xerox for many years making optic lenses for the aerospace industry. On July 14, 2004, Al married the love of his life Susan Hill Lampe in Las Vegas, Nevada; and was blessed with an extended family. After retiring from Xerox, Al moved to Gooding, Idaho where he worked for Tupperware. This job gave him the opportunity to move back to California, and when Tupperware closed, he then returned to Twin Falls, Idaho in 2000. He has remained in Idaho since that time. In his spare time, Al loved doing jigsaw puzzles, making pictures out of his finished puzzles and sharing those puzzles as gifts. Al was a diehard Lakers fan. He loved animals and is survived by his three dogs, Chewy, Sukie and Fanny Mae. Al is survived by his loving wife, Susan Lampe of Twin Falls, Idaho; stepsons Gerry (April) Truscott of Burley, Idaho; Todd ( Janella) Truscott of Wendell, Idaho; Dusty Lindt; stepdaughters; Sherie Taylor of Carey, Idaho; and Melinda Lloyd of Twin Falls, Idaho. Also surviving Al is his brother Elmer Lampe of Milwaukie, Oregon; brother, Harvey Lampe of Twin Falls, Idaho; sister, Phyllis Davis of Filer, Idaho and 18 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Ada Lampe, brother, Berlin Lampe and brother-in-law, Bill Davis. A service of remembrance for Al will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID and Inurnment will be held following services at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, Idaho.
