DONNETTA MAE REINKE SMITH 1938 - 2010 "For the mountains may depart and the hills disappear, but even then I will remain loyal to you. My covenant of blessing will never be broken," says the Lord, who has mercy on you. lsaiah 54:10 Donnetta went to be with her Lord on December 5, 2010 at 1:35 am. She was born on August 11, 1938 to Martin and Lenora Reinke in Twin Falls, ID. She was baptized August 28, 1938 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clover, ID and confirmed at lmmanuel Lutheran Church, May 1952, in Twin Falls, ID. (The above verse is her confirmation verse). Donnetta graduated from Twin Falls High school in 1955. She married Kenneth Smith at lmmanuel Lutheran church on December 2, 1956. Donnetta particularly enjoyed baking-especially pies, sewing and gardening; she applied her love for gardening by frequently providing flowers for services at her church. She was an active member at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kimberly, ID, the Snake River Valley Chapter of Family Motor Coach Association, the Lutheran Womens' Missionary League, and the Twin Falls Good Sam Blue Birds. Surviving is her husband, Kenneth of Twin Falls, ID; two daughters, Debra Holmes-Higgin of Alamo, CA and Marcia Rasmussen (Clint) of Dryden, New York; four grandchildren, Rachel Davis of San Jose, CA, Zoe and Lucy Holmes-Higgin, and Pierce Rasmussen; three step-grandchildren, Dusty Rasmussen of Salt Lake City, UT and Jake Rasmussen of St. George, UT and Tylee (Trent) Wittwer of Hurricane, UT; a brother, Robert Reinke (Ardella) of Gooding, ID; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy and Howard Wiebe of Aberdeen, ID, a brother-in-law, Steve Lewis of Boise, ID, a sister-in-law, Margaret Smith of Twin Falls, lD, and numerous other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Donna Lewis, one grandson, Daniel lsaiah Davis, and one brother-in-law, Curtis E. Smith. Respecting Donnetta's wishes, there will be no visitation or viewing other than immediate family. Graveside services will be held at the Twin Falls Cemetery on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. followed by the service at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kimberly, ID on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Bryon Sunderman officiating. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Women's Missionary League or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
