Robert Blodgett Oslund

Robert Blodgett Oslund, 84, of Twin Falls passed away Thursday morning October 28, 2010 at his home. He was born Aug. 31, 1926 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Arnold and Edna Belle Oslund. Robert spent two years with the US Army Signal Corps, and five years with the Army Map Service in Washington, DC. After the service Robert Worked for Jeppesen Company as a production manager from 1955 to retirement in 1978. He married Estella Besterio in 1950 in Frederick, Maryland. They shared 32 years together, she passed away in 1982. In 1987, Robert married his high school sweetheart Peggy Lou Crandell (Porter). She was the love of his life and they shared 16 years together until her passing on Sept. 28, 2003. Robert loved drafting, his mapping and working on his computer. Surviving is his very close friend and care giver Coleen Dierken of Twin Falls. Preceding him in death were his parents, two wives, and brother Baby Francis, he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Coleen and her family would like to thank all the aids from Addus Health Care and the staff of Magic Valley Hospice for their loving care. At his request no services will be held. There will be a wake announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
