Carl D. Toupin, 80, of Murtaugh, passed away, October 23, 2010 at the Twin Falls Care Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was born September 25, 1930 in Twin Falls, Idaho, the son on Matt and Minnie Pearl Metzger Toupin. Carl was raised in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School 1950. He worked as a farmer, also as an Idaho State Police Reserve Officer and as Marshall for the city of Murtaugh for over twenty years. He and his wife Jane farmed together in the Murtaugh area. Carl enlisted in the US Marine Corps to serve as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. Carl married Flora Mae Metzger in 1951. They were later divorced, and on April 8, 1967 in Jerome, he married Jane D. Olsen. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and enjoyed farming, welding, golfing, making metal sculptures, fishing, boating, four wheeling and being a conversationalist. Surviving are his wife of 42 years Jane of Murtaugh, sons - Mike W. (Esperanza) Toupin of Santa Rosa, CA, Roy D. (Vivienne) Toupin of Petaluma, CA, and Carl D. (Darla) Toupin of Soda Spring, ID, sister - Betty Troutman of Indiana, along with 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, Idaho. Friends may call from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M.
