Lois Alberta Stephens, 92, of Twin Falls, beloved Mother & Grandmother, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Twin Falls Care Center. She was born to Charles Bert Monahan and Clara Lousia May Snook on July 19, 1918 in Elm Creek, Nebraska the 8th of 10 children. On January 5, 1938 in Elko, Nevada she married the love of her life, Leo Stephens. Together they raised 3 beautiful daughters. They farmed in King Hill, Gooding, Jerome and Murtaugh. They also ran Jaspers Gas & Oil in Filer and Monte's Mini Mart in Hollister Lois was active in the LDS church. She held many positions including working with the Scouts. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Leo, a daughter, Barbara Williams, a son-in-law, Wes McCord, a grandson Jeff Lemke, 2 great great grandbabies, her parents, 2 brothers & 5 sisters. Surviving are 2 daughters, Dorothy (Sylven) Bailey of Wendell, Helen McCord of Kimberly, 1 brother, Dale Monahan of Prescott, AZ. Arizona, 1 sister, Elsie Forslin of Green River Wyoming, 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren & 10 great great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Viewing will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friends may also call Friday, August 27, 2010 from 12 Noon until 12:45 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 229 Park Ave., Twin Falls, Idaho Funeral services will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 229 Park Ave., Twin Falls, Idaho. Interment will following at the Twin Falls Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either Hospice Visions, Inc., 209 Shoup Ave. W.
