Juanita Peterson May 27,1927-June 1, 2010 Juanita Peterson 83 of Twin Falls passed away 1 June at the Stoney Creek assisted living facility. Juanita Peterson was born May 27, 1927 in Idaho Falls to Athol Lee Burks and Dorothy Ida (Billington) Burks. They moved to Twin Falls when she was in grade school and she continued there till she graduated in 1945 She married James Kenneth Miller in January of 1947. They live in Twin Falls for 2 years and the moved to Jerome. She later married Albert Peterson of Twin Falls (on June 12 1973) and lived there for the remainder of her life. She was active in the Magic Valley Art Guild and won many awards at the Twin Falls County Fair. She also worked with Welcome Wagon, Toast Mistress and Meals on Wheels sang in the choir at First Baptist Church Jerome and was active in the BaptiWeds group. In later years she was very active in Good Sam Club and went to many 'Jamborees' and fishing and camping trips with her husband Albert. She was preceded in death by her parents and one older brother who died in infancy & Her first and second husband. She is survived by her brothers Richard & Dorothy Burks of Gold Canyon AZ and Dennis Burks of St Paul, MN, Her children Oren & Trudy (Suhr) Miller, Minot, ND; Murle & Annette (Dryden) Miller of Twin Falls & Tris & Christine (Coman) Miller of Boise plus Eight grand children and numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, Idaho. Burial will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Stoney Creek Assisted Living Center and Hospice Visions for their love and care.
