Andres Hernandez Galan, Sr. age 84 of Twin Falls, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his home with his loving family by his side. Andres was born July 20, 1925 in San Marcos, Texas to Pedro and Martina Hernandez Galan. Andres married Trinedad Barela on October 14, 1943 at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lamesa, TX. To this union were born 11 children. Andres and his family made their permanent home in Hereford, Texas and from there traveled away for work. As a young man, Andres would follow the Harvests to many different states. In 1956, he started traveling to Idaho and in 1971 took up permanent residence here. 50 years after marrying his lovely bride, Trinedad; they renewed their vows on July 24, 1993 at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Twin Falls, Idaho. Andres is survived by five sons and five daughters, Felipa Garcia (Walter Clay Malone), Pedro (Janie) Galan of Hereford, TX, Bobby (Dora) Galan of Midland, TX, Margarita Galan, Edingburg, TX, Sammy (Dora) Galan of Fruitland, ID, Soladad "Sally" Bradley of Gold Beach, OR, Andres (Irma) Galan, Jr., Joe (Mary) Galan, Gloria Galan (Julio Silva), & Elvia "Evie" (Jose) Ruiz all of Twin Falls, ID. Also surviving is one brother, Timotheo Galan of Amarillo, Texas, one sister, Thilda Ramon of Amarillo, TX and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Trinedad Galan and his daughter, Paula Galan Vargas. Visitation for Andres will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6:00-7:00 P.M. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho with a Vigil Service for Andres to be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Twin Falls, ID. Interment will follow the services at the Twin Falls Cemetery in Twin Falls, ID. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
