JOHN WILLIAM REEDER

John William Reeder 1944 ~ 2010 John William Reeder, 65, died March 2, 2010 surrounded by his loving family in Houston, Texas. John was born in Twin Falls, Idaho August 2, 1944 to Charles and Ione Reeder. He was raised in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1962. He attended Utah State University, studying business management. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He met his wife, Judie Rash, while attending Utah State University and they were married in the Logan Temple June 6, 1968. In the early 70's he returned with his wife to Twin Falls where he became more involved in the family business, Reeder Flying Service. John was an accomplished businessman and involved in the community. He was honored as the Twin Falls Chamber of Commerce Person of the Year in 2009. John had great devotion to the LDS Church. He served a two-year mission in Toronto Canada (1964 - 1966). He supported the scouting program and served in many capacities in the church. John enjoyed skiing, flying, traveling, spending time with friends, family, and his grandson. John and Judie are the proud parents of four children, Charles Jason Reeder, Jessica Ann (Reid) Thorpe, John Joseph (Amber) Reeder, and Jay Steven Reeder. He has one grandchild, John William Thorpe. John is survived by his wife; four children; and siblings, Richard (Charlene) Reeder, Mary (Bob) Brady, Barbara (Preston) Cutler, and Robert (Kathy) Reeder. John was a loving, empathetic husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a beloved brother and uncle. He is remembered for being friendly and caring and being a distinguished, positive influence in every setting. There will be a viewing Monday, March 8, 2010, from 6:00-8:00PM at Parke's Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010, 11:00AM at the Twin Falls Stake Center 2085 S. Temple Drive.
