GORDON OPIAL

Gordon Keith Opial, 83, of Twin Falls passed away February 5, 2010 at the St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. He was born September 9, 1926 in Sheraton, WY, the son Of Louis and Mildred McClenton Opial. On August 10, 1974, he married the love of his life Edith in Stanwood, Washington. She passed away in 2005. Gordon worked for Kaiser Aerospace in the Electronics Industry. Gordon served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. Surviving are his Daughter -Tammy Rudy of Baltimore, MD, Step-daughter Pam Otterson of Stanwood, WA Step-son - Fred Hasse of Eugene, OR, brother - LEwis Opial of Charleston, SC, Sisters - Jean Maime of Kelso, WA and Donna Vanhorn of Hemet, CA, along with 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edith, along with one grand daughter and one great grand daughter. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID with military honors offered by The Magic Valley Veterans and Auxiliary. Interment will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
