TWIN FALLS - A large, extended family gathered throughout the week at the home of Maida E. (Hinson) Hanchey to bid her farewell, and to comfort one another. Surrounded by her loved ones, she died early Thursday morning, January 14 at the age of 91. Wife of the late William J. Hanchey, she was also the loving mother of: Billie (Charles)Park, Gary (Judy) Hanchey, Johnny (Twila) Hanchey, Carrol (Rupert) Buntin, Loretta (Nellis) Burkhart, Bunny Hieb (recently deceased), Bobbie (Terry)Holmes, Linda Schoepp, Vickie (Tom)Collins, Perry (Mary) Hanchey, William (Jackie) Hanchey, Ileta (Scott) Jensen, Rhonda Boisvert, Jeff (Sue) Hanchey, Elizabeth (Rick) Reinstein, and Ramona Crandall. Born to Agrippa and Ollie (Marlowe) Hinson on June 7, 1918 in Hoboken, GA, she is survived by one brother, Elton (Elizabeth) Hinson of Brunswick, GA, and sisters, Irma Davis of Brunswick , GA, and Velva Allen of Waycross, GA. "Grandma Hanchey" is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren that number into the hundreds. The family moved from Georgia to the Eden/Hunt Area in 1946, and later settled in Twin Falls where they owned and operated Hanchey's Body Shop and Billie's Used Cars. "Who can find a virtuous woman? Emery for his many years of dedication to her care and keeping. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Eternal Life Christian Center in Twin Falls. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park.
