JESSIE MAY NELSON

Jessie May Nelson 1923 - 2009 Jessie May Nelson, 85, of Twin Falls, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 at the St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born September 4, 1923 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Duward and May Mallory Back. On June 21, 1942 she married the love of her life Ernest Roy Nelson. Together they had three children. Following WWII they moved to Wendell, Idaho where they farmed until 1947, moving to Twin Falls. They farmed in the Twin Falls area until 1998, when Ernest passed away. Jessie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.. She loved going shopping and crocheting, and took great pride in her yard, attending it regularly. Surviving are her children - Patricia (Clarence) Hicks of Twin Falls, Dyke Nelson of Twin Falls, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Ernest, daughter - AnnaBelle, and two sisters. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Family will receive friends, Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 5 - 7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, ID. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. with the Reverend Dale Metzger officiating. Private inurnment will follow at a later date at SunsetMemorial Park.
