ELSIE LEA ARRINGTON EGBERT 1921 - 2009 Elsie Lea Arrington Egbert, 88, of Twin Falls, died peacefully at home Aug. 3, 2009 with family by her side. She was born March 19, 1921 in Twin Falls to Robert Glenn Arrington and Annie Lunett Tuttle. She attended schools in Twin Falls and graduated in 1939. Elsie married Francis Marion Egbert Jr. on 20 Aug 1941 in Salt Lake City. She was a devoted wife and mother of ten children. They lived in Castleford and Murtaugh while Francis taught school and farmed, then moved to Twin Falls in 1945. They later lived above Shoshone Falls in Jerome County for 30 years. They have lived south of Twin Falls for past 7 years. Elsie encouraged her children and husband in church, community, and school activities. She worked at Shelby's Market, Egbert Accounting, and 10 years at Tupperware. Elsie enjoyed serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She and Francis served in the Boise, ID and Atlanta, GA temples. She enjoyed her flower gardens, loved to cook, sew, embroider, and collect dolls. Elsie also enjoyed clipping articles and amassed an incredible history about Magic Valley. She filled many notebooks with her thoughts, stories, and notes of family and history. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She instilled in her children a knowledge and testimony of the Savior. We counted on the power of her prayers. Elsie is survived by her husband, Francis Marion Egbert Jr, and 10 children: David (Ann), Jerome; Lea (Gary dec.) Andreason, Filer; Kendal (Beckie); Carol (Ray) Conover; Merl (Kathlyn), Twin Falls; Myrna (Wesley) Frey, Rigby; Loa (Kim dec.) Anderson, Layton, UT; Donald (Lori), Wendell; Douglas (Carleen), Meridian; Maurice (Amber) Provo, UT Also, brothers Lee and Alden, sister, Gilda Garrison and 50 grandchildren, 122 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death, were her Parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 4 grandchildren and 2 sons-in-law. A Service will be at 11 a.m. at the Twin Falls Stake Center by the Temple on Saturday Aug. 8, 2009 with visitation at 10 a.m. A viewing will be at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, Idaho.
