Jan Dee Ruhter

Jan Dee Ruhter 1951 - 2009 Jan Dee Ruhter, 58 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away Friday June 26, 2009, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jan was born October 16, 1951 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Devon Sr. and Norma Ruther. He grew up south of Buhl on the family farm then later moved to Twin Falls. Jan attended Castleford Elementary from K-4, and then transferred to CloverTrinityLutheranSchool, where he graduated from the 8th grade. In 1970 Jan graduated from CastlefordHigh School. He continued his education at the College of Southern Idaho graduating with a degree in Electronics. Jan enjoy working as a farm laborer around the Twin Falls area and on the family farm with his parents and Brother Melvin. Jan was kind- hearted and always willing to help anyone who needed a helping hand. He loved walking to town, reading, caring for the farm animals, and playing a good game of pinochle, snooker, Foosball, baseball or softball with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing Foosball and snooker at the Faux Cigar Store in Buhl. He spent the summer playing softball and baseball. He is survived by His parents Devon Sr. and Norma (Griffith) Ruhter of Twin Falls. His brothers: Devon Jr. (Luella), Melvin, Randy (Linda), and Boyd and his sister Grace (Jerry) Owen. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Visitation for Jan will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd.Twin Falls, ID. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Twin Falls Cemetery in Twin Falls, ID, with Pastor Lawrence Vedder officiating. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, ID.
