LAURA PEARL POULTON HOREJS 1923 - 2009 Laura Pearl Poulton Horejs, passed away peacefully at her home on June 22, 2009. She was born July 19, 1926 in Oakley, ID. Upon graduating from High School, she attended AlbionNormal School. She taught in schools in Gooding and later, taught at CSI in the ESL program. Laura served in many callings in her church, as Relief Society President, Stake Young Women's President, and she taught seminary for 11 years. Her gentle spirit and love were felt by all who met her. On June 1, 1948, Laura married her beloved husband, Francis (Bud) Horejs. They were companions for 61 years. To their union were born five children, John (Elaine) Horejs of Phoenix, AZ, Douglas Horejs of Salt Lake City, UT, Valorie (Spencer) Williams of Twin Falls, ID, Paula (Andrew) Skidmore of Alexandria, NY, and Lance Horejs of Newport News, VA. Also surviving are her 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, her sister Barbara (Louis) Durfee of Gooding, ID. Beverly (Margaret) Poulton of St. George, UT, Calvin (LuAnn) Poulton of Vernal, UT, and Marvin (Gaynell) Poulton of Alpine, UT. Her parents, Wesley and Mary Mormon Puckett Poulton, brothers, James (Melba) Poulton, Gail (Ethel) Poulton, and sister, Paloma (William) Clawson preceded her in death. Funeral Services for Laura will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the LDSChurch, Ward #____ on Hankins Road, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Twin Falls, Idaho. Visitation for Laura will be held Sunday, July 5, 2009 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, ID and Monday, July 6, 2009 from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the church. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
