Earl A. Johnson, 70 of Kimberly passed away Thursday, May 7, 2009 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls. He was born on September 9, 1938 in Idaho Falls to Allen O. & Rula B. Johnson. At an early age it was determined that he was deaf due to an injury at birth. He was very active and helped on the farm in Idaho Falls and Gooding after his parents moved there. He attended school at the Idaho State School for the Deaf & Blind in Gooding, Idaho. He helped in many ways and was good at mechanics, he helped in the family implement business (Zitlau Motors in Wendell); later he worked for David Brown in Gooding. Earl always enjoyed serving others and enjoyed boating experiences with others. During his recent illness he has been cared for by his good friend, Freda Travis and his niece, Janeen Dalton. He is survived by his brother, C. Aldon (DelOra) Johnson, Meridian, ID; sisters, Miriam Brighton, Coltman, ID; Edith (Richard) Lloyd, Boise, ID; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. Inurnment will follow at the Wendell Cemetery.
