Virginia Phyllis German Nelson, 88, of Hansen, passed away February 19, 2009 at the Heritage-Woodstone Retirement Center. She was born August 14, 1920 in Fowler, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Frankie May Hillman German. She was a graduate of the Gem State Business Academy. Virginia moved from Parma to the Magic Valley in 1975. She was an avid homemaker who enjoyed cats and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved children so much that she became a cook for the school district in Alpha, Illinois. The outdoors and mountains were also a big part of her life, and she enjoyed the peacefulness of their surroundings. Surviving Virginia are her son - Clarus (Rose Ann) Nelson of Hansen, Grandchildren - Kim (Marvin) Sharp of Lemhi, Idaho, Dacia (Ramiro) Hernandez of Hansen, ID, along with Great Grandchild - Zakary Hernandez of Hansen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband - Dale. Virginia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Twin Falls Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
