Clara 'Maxine' McCracken Clara "Maxine" McCracken, 78, of Kimberly, passed away Dec. 21, 2008 at the St. Luke's MagicValleyMedicalCenter from complications of injuries suffered in a fall. Maxine was born in Fairbury, NE, August 31, 1930 to Harold & Mary (Nutsch) McCord. As a teenager she moved with her family to Ashton, ID in 1944 and later to the OrchardValley area of Wendell in 1946. She graduated from JeromeHigh School in the Class of 1948. In 1950, she married Paul Crumbliss and they had three children, Steven, Dennis, and Ardith and later divorced. In 1966, she married Paul McCollum and together they had one son, Kenneth and later divorced. In 1985, she married Robert (Bob) McCracken and they enjoyed fishing and traveling together. During her lifetime, Maxine worked at the soda fountain at Woolworths, Roger Brothers Seed and the Tupperware Company. In addition, she was employed at Bakker Brothers, Kimberly Seed, HansenSchool District, Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home and the Hollifield Ranches all of which are located in MagicValley. Maxine was a member of the CrossroadsMethodistChurch in Kimberly. She was a 50 year member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge where she held many offices. In 1970, she joined the Order of Eastern Star, in which she was Worthy Matron of Magic Valley No. 82 and Hollister No. 47. She served as past Grand Martha of the Grand Chapter of Idaho Order of Eastern Star and was a member of the Order of Amaranth Garnet Court No. 5 of Gooding. Maxine had many friends, if she liked you, you knew it, if she did not like you, you both knew it. Maxine is survived by her four children, Steven Paul Crumbliss of Alabaster, AL, Dennis Harold Crumbliss of Twin Falls, Ardith Erline Noyes of Boise, and Kenneth Lynn McCollum of Kimberly. She is also survived by her two brothers, Ray (Alice) McCord of Wendell, Lynn (Laurine) McCord of Idaho Falls, and one sister Marjorie (J.D.) Webb of Salmon, two sister in-laws, Harriet McCord of Jerome, and Helen McCord of Kimberly, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Maxine was preceded in death by her three husbands, her parents, two brothers, Lloyd McCord and Wesley McCord and one grandson, Dustin McCollum. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 5 - 7 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd.Twin Falls. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at SunsetMemorial Park.
