Suzann Nielsen, 39 of Twin Falls passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at a local care facility after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. She was born on November 11, 1969 in Manchester, Connecticut to Clive and Diane McKinney. She lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Wyoming before settling in Filer. She attended Filer High School and later she earned her Associates Degree in Computer Graphic Design at CSI where she loved being a student. Suzann married Kelly Kalbfleisch in 1986 and was later divorced. In May 1993 she married her best friend and soul mate Shane Nielsen in Filer, Idaho. Suzann worked great with people working at her jobs; Made in Idaho, Daisy's Old Time Confections, Kurt's Hallmark, Cains, Thomasville (Meridian) and lastly at her favorite job, her two months at Costco in Boise. Suzann loved spending time with family and friends, her three daughters were her most valued treasures, she loved spending time with her husband, Shane doing whatever or nothing at all. She treasured her relationships she maintained with people she briefly met years before or lost touch with but reconnected with later. She was a member of the Filer Nazarene Church and was a talented artist on the computer and as a designer. She loved being a socialite telling stories and expressing her opinions; she would bring her infectious smile everywhere and brighten everyone's day. She always kept an upbeat attitude with whatever life brought her and she was always proud of the fact that she could set her mind to a goal and achieve it. Her struggle with breast cancer never got her down. She was an inspiration to many and will always be remembered for her gracious and caring manner. She is survived by her husband, Shane, Twin Falls; daughters, Kailee (Justin) Walker, Twin Falls; Kristy Kalbfleisch, Twin Falls; Kenna Nielsen, Twin Falls; mother, Diane (Dick) Hamilton, Filer; brothers, Scott (Kathy) McKinney, Twin Falls; Danny (Wendy) McKinney, Lacey, WA; sisters, Renee (Joel) Meierhoff, Buhl; Ariane (Carmelo) Cabral, Murtaugh; Amie McKinney, Rindge, NH; Bethie and Megan McKinney, Hillsboro, NH; aunt, Wilma McKinney, Enfield, CT; uncle, David Lemay, Las Vegas, NV; Tammy (Nelson) Hamilton; 4 nieces and 4 nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Clive McKinney; beloved uncle, Cliff McKinney; grandmother, Marie Hamilton; great-aunt, Gert Collette; great-uncle, Leo Collette and Rick Hamilton. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Church of the Nazarene, 1231 Washington St. North, Twin Falls with a viewing 6 to 8 pm Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church.
