Lillian Maxine Ray Twin Falls - Maxine, as she wanted to be called, passed away November 17, 2008, at SunBridge Healthcare Center, at the age of 93. Maxine was born November 17, 1915 in Colchester, Illinois. The daughter of Arthur and Marie Reece. When the depression broke out the family moved to California settling in Los Angeles. After attending Garfield High School, she met and married the man of her dreams, Kenneth M. Ray in 1935. They first resided in east L.A. until the end of World War 2 then moved to the community of Westchester, near the International airport. They had two sons, James, and David. Maxine was a stay-at-home mom, raising her boys and indulging in her very loved hobbies of knitting and crocheting. When Kenneth retired, they moved to the desert near Palm Springs and enjoyed their free time. Kenneth died in 1990. A few years after that, Maxine moved to Twin Falls, Idaho to be near her oldest son, James. She did some traveling, visiting her family, until a knee injury forced her to move to SunBridge, where she spent the rest of her life. Her stay at SunBridge was not boring. She quickly indulged in cross word puzzles and became real good at bingo. Every once in a while, she got a trip to Jackpot, Nevada to win her fortune.
