Edith Hamilton

Edith S. Hamilton, 93 longtime Twin Falls resident passed away Tuesday November 18, 2008 at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born on January 8, 1915 in Midvale, Idaho to Henry L. Spady and Kate (Schwabauer) Spady. She married Orville H. Hamilton on September 28, 1933 in Boise, Idaho. Edith loved spending time with her family and she and Orville would travel all over the country to attend family reunions. Edith was an active member of the Twin Falls Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Schoonhoven, Springfield, OR; son, Ron (Dorothy) Hamilton, Twin Falls, ID; 6 grandchildren, Denise Schoonhoven, Springfield, OR; Randy (Janice) Schoonhoven, Eugene, OR; Jeff Schoonhoven, San Francisco, CA; Bret Hamilton, Pocatello, ID; Brenda (Gary) Smith, Twin Falls, ID; Bunny (Loren) Lancaster, Twin Falls, ID; 13 great-grandchildren, Jonathan & Carly Schoonhoven; Ben, Brienne, Hailey, Grace, Caleb, Lucas & Tess Hamilton; Mandy & Megan Smith; Matt & Kenzie Lancaster; brother, Louis (LaRene) Spady, Gresham, OR; sister, Gertrude (George) Edmundson, Lincoln, RI; sister-in-law, Bernice Spady, Cleburn, TX and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Edith always had a song in her heart and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed. Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls.
