Frank Zagata, 93 passed away at his home in Buhl on Wednesday November 5, 2008 with his wife at his bedside. Frank was born on October 14, 1915 to Stanley and Victoria Zagata in Buhl. From a young age he has always worked on farms, at Sego, building homes, as a bee keeper and farming his 40 acres until a year ago. Frank met the love of his life, Grace Amelia Dey in 1934, when they were both working for the Jones family. They were married on September 4, 1935. They had three children, Ray, Eileen and Bob. He was working in Nevada when the war began, so they moved to Richland, WA where he built homes and worked at the shipyard in Vancouver, WA. After the war, the family moved to Terrebonne, OR where he built their very first home. When they returned to Buhl, Frank began farming and building homes with their son. You can see many of the homes they have built in the area. Frank bought 40 acres in 1950 and built their home in 1958. He has been a farm hand, a carpenter, builder, farmer and bee keeper. After building a home for a bee keeper, he ended up becoming a bee man with his son, Ray and wife, Grace. He had been under the loving care of his family and the wonderful Hospice group, his wish came true as his was able to remain at his home until the end. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Grace, sons, Raymond (Katherine) Zagata, Buhl and Robert (Geri) Zagata, Vacaville, CA, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Albert Fritz, Joseph and Antone Zagata, daughter, Eileen Mae Hill and a grand daughter Ellen Zagata Hill. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Idaho Home Health & Hospice or to a charity of their choice. At his request no funeral services will be held. A private graveside burial will be held at West End Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls.
