Karen Doshier-Twin Falls Karen Doshier left this life on July 16, 2008 after surviving ovarian cancer for 3 years. She was born October 16, 1946 in Kingston, New York, the second child of Robert W. and Ruth Hanlon Thibodeau. Her father spent his career serving in the Air Force, so they traveled and lived throughout the United States and Europe. Karen attended Widefield High School in Security, Colorado and later Riverside City College in Riverside, California. She met her husband, Dennis, in 1967 and they were married February 17, 1968 in Las Vegas. She said of her husband that he was her best friend and made her life complete. In 1969 they moved to Dennis' home state of Idaho and during the next 39 years they lived in Twin Falls, Pocatello, Gooding, Wendell and Boise. This marriage produced two wonderful sons, Jeffrey and Jeremy, who have given them four grandchildren. Karen loved her work as a secretary for over 40 years. She enjoyed assisting coworkers at Moore Business Forms in Jerome for nearly 18 years and was proud of the time she spent working for the State of Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. She enjoyed sewing, reading, fishing and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren. She described the time with them as "making my heart laugh." Karen is survived by her husband, Dennis; her sons and their families, Jeff (Lisa, Nicole and Lindsay) of Lenox, Massachusetts and Jeremy (Jamie, Emellia and Adam) of Boise; her sister, Annette (Tom) Thompson of Burley; her sisters and brothers by marriage, Vern and Pat Doshier; Wendy and David Giles; MaryAnn Doshier all of the Magic Valley; and Bert and Bette Doshier of Grants Pass, Oregon. She is also survived by many lifelong, loving friends. She was preceded by her parents, Robert and Ruth Thibodeau and her mother and father-in-law, George and Emma Doshier. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls with Reverend Don Hammond officiating. Do not mourn my passing, but have fond memories and keep me in your hearts as I have kept you in mine.
