Charley C. Lown

Charley Lown, 88, long time Hansen resident passed away at his home after a short illness. He was born in Webster, Iowa on November 2, 1919 to George and Madge Lown. He married Mary Jane Ross on September 5, 1942. They lived in Iowa, Arizona and later in Hansen, Idaho where she passed away in February 1989. Charley served in the 81st fighter group, 91st fighter squad during WWII. Seeing quite a bit of the world, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily, Naples, Rome, EAME Theatre and China to name a few. He has one surviving sister, Mildred Yeager of Ottumwa, Iowa, his son Danny and wife Betty of Burns, Oregon, granddaughter, Shawna and great-granddaughter Abigail Mary of Nampa, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his parents, brother, Arville and sister, Hazel. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. There will be no services at Charley's request. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hansen Library.
