Roy Bryan Smalley, 78 of Buhl, went to sleep in death peacefully Monday, June 9 2008 surrounded by his family. Roy was born August 17, 1929 in Buhl to Edward and Myrtle Worley Smalley. He married his sweetheart Corabel Frame on June 8, 1948 in Ely, Nevada, soon followed eight wonderful children. Roy was baptized on September 7, 1963 in Pasadena, California as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and faithfully served as one until his death. He lived in the Buhl and Hagerman area his whole life mainly by the Snake River where he loved to be. He owned and operated a trucking and excavating business until the early 1980's when he went to work for the Three Creek road district, where he happily worked until his retirement in 1994. He taught his boys which end of the wrench to use and his girls how to have a winning water fight. He is survived by his wife, Corabel; sons, Mike Smalley; Bert Smalley; Wayne Smalley; Rusty Nyquist; daughters, Terry (Jim) Duggan; Nancy (David) Mills; Barbara (Rodger) Graddy; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Smalley; sisters, Opal Rathbun and Norma Jean (John) Schaer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, "Chip" and "Shorty Smalley; sister, Ellen Brenen; 3 children, Linda Nyquist; Pat Smalley and Kevin Smalley and a great-granddaughter. Services will be held 6:00 pm Monday, June 16, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall in Buhl. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls.
