Edward J. Mitchell Edward Junior Mitchell, 79 of Twin Falls passed away Sunday June 8, 2008 at home. He was born on January 17, 1929 to Norman E. and Cora A. Mitchell. He graduated from High School in Adair, Oklahoma. He has lived in Northeast Oklahoma, Fruitland, Wieser and Twin Falls, Idaho. Edward married Mary Louise Strange on February 14, 1953 in Fruitland, Idaho; to this union they had four children, Kathy, Dennis, Robert and Susan. Edward was a CPL in the United States Army and served in the Korean War and he was an Infantry Squad Leader in the 7th and 15th Regiments - 3rd Infantry Division. He was a very patriotic American and was proud of his service to his country. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Twin Falls Bluebirds Good Sam Club and the Order of Eastern Star. Edward was a carpet installer and a maintenance mechanic. Ed and Mary loved to travel, they traveled to all 50 states. Ed also loved to camp, fish, and hunt. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise, Twin Falls, ID; sons, Dennis (Robin) Mitchell, Twin Falls, ID; Robert (Stacey) Mitchell, Loveland, CO; daughters, Kathy (Brian) McAllister, Batavia, NY; Susan (Evan) Robinson, Elk Grove, CA; grandchildren, Daniel, Randall and Colby Mitchell; Elisha (Phillip) Hansen; Jesslyn and Colton Mitchell; Mitchell and Colin McAllister; Elizabeth and Elias Robinson; sisters, Hazel Timmons and Ruby Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Earl; sisters, Creola Wiford, Vera Atwell and Helena Bivens. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 at 1st United Methodist Church, 360 Shoshone Street E., Twin Falls with a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Twin Falls 1st United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home.
