Ampelio Salas

Ampelio Salas, age 69, passed away surrounded by loved ones on April 10,2019. Ampelio was born in Tepechitlan, Zacatecas, Mexico  on November 20, 1949, to Manuel Salas and Maria del Refugio de Los Santos.  Ampelio was one of nine children. His siblings include Jesus, Margarito, Lusmila, Patrocińio, Anita, Leonel, Juventino, and Nieves. In September of 1975, Ampelio met his loving wife at a local dance. They were married on February 13,1976, in Tepechitlan. Ampelio is known for his caring nature, love for his family, and animals. In hopes of a better life for his family, Ampelio brought his wife and children to the United States in 1982. Ampelio worked in EVS in Cactus Petes for 13 years and Bartons Club 93 for 10 years. Ampelio is survived by his wife Maria and his daughters Fabiola, Rosy, and Liliana and four beautiful grandchildren Juan Carlos, Alondra, Hailey, and Abby. Ampelio can now rest easy with his son Leonardo and father Manuel. Visitation will be held at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 15th at 1 p.m. at St. Edwards Catholic Church. Following the mass there will be the graveside service. We appreciate the flowers and gifts.
