Arnold "Arnie" Raymond Gutknecht 1935 - 2021 Arnold "Arnie" Raymond Gutknecht 1935-2021 Arnold "Arnie" Raymond Gutknecht 86, of Twin Falls Idaho passed away on December 5, 2021. He was born on April 29, 1935 in Hurdsfield, North Dakota, the son of Nettie and Irvan Gutknecht. Upon entering High School, Arnie got his books and promptly left to start his career in plumbing. He married Adeline Lautt Gutknecht. At the onset of their marriage, Arnie was drafted into the ARMY. He was able to escape after serving 2 years, and after being Honorably Discharged, returned to Adeline and they began their family. They enjoyed 30 years of marriage until she passed away. He then married Kris Harvey. Kris and Arnie were neighbors and became lasting friends after Adeline passed. That friendship turned into love, and they enjoyed 32 years together. Arnie was a plumbing guru in the Magic Valley for over 40 years. He started with Home Plumbing and then went on to become a Contractor and started his own plumbing service, Arnie’s Plumbing. He sent out letters to new customers and instantly grew to have 75 clients. He was a bowlegged cowboy man who loved fishing, hunting, and bowling. He was raised on a farm and loved watching Westerns. He loved the Cowboy Way of Life. Arnie was preceded in death by his first wife of 30 years, Adeline Lautt Gutknecht; his brothers, Willard and Richard, and by sisters, Eileen, Erna and Carol, and also by their Poodle "Magic" who adored Arnie and was with Kris and Arnie for over half their married life. Surviving Arnie is his loving wife of 32 years, Kris Reiman Harvey Gutknecht of Twin Falls, sons, Rick (Debi) Gutknecht and Don (Lorie) Gutknecht, his grandchildren, Kyle (Erin) Gutknecht, Toni (Mikhael) Karlsson, Jessica (Ricky) Mayfield, Kelli (Chris) Lundgren, & Heather (Kaylan) Petersen. Great -grandchildren, Abby Gutknecht, Emily Gutknech, Ada Sue Lundgren, Kamden Petersen, and two who haven't been introduced yet. Also, surviving are his brother-in-law, Kevin and sister-in-law, Teresa Reiman; his best buddy, his Golden Doodle -Big Mac and his coffee-drinking buddies at the Depot Grill. A Special acknowledgment of his first wife, Adeline Lautt Gutknecht and the clan of in-laws that remained part of Arnie’s life for over 60 years and welcomed Kris into their family; her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, whom Arnie loved and loved to give them all a hard time. A Life Tribute for Arnie will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home & Crematory, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho. And as an Optimist, Arnie would always say that everything was "Mighty Fine". It is said that the name, Gutknecht means "Honest, Good Worker"! That was Arnie to a Tee!
