Charles V. Merrill, age 87, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away at home surrounded by family on April 28, 2022. Charles was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on May 5th, 1935 to Lyle and Bernice Merrill. He resided in Merrill, Oregon, and later moved to Medford and Roseburg, Oregon. He graduated from Roseburg Senior High in 1953. After graduating, he entered the US Air Force in August of 1954, and was honorably discharged as Staff Sergeant in August of 1958. He served as an Aircraft Mechanic and Flight Mechanic on SC 47 Aircrafts. He was also in the 64th Air Rescue Squadron in San Bernardino, California. During the time of service he traveled to Europe and the Orient. After leaving the service he worked as a Toyota Master Mechanic for 25 years. He then started his own business building and restoring street rods. He met and married Barbara Bail on May 8th,1970 in Santa Cruz, California. They were married 52 years. Charles loved camping and going to car shows. He was an active member in First Baptist Church of Twin Falls, Idaho. Charles was preceded in death by his son, Mark Bail in 2021. Survived by his wife Barbara, son Edward Merrill and his wife Angie. Daughters- Shelley Lappin, and Linda Smallwood. Son, Kevin Bail and wife Jeannie. Daughter- Wendy Frisbie and husband Jerry. Daughter, Bonnie Bail. He also has multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Parke's Funeral Home in Twin Falls, Idaho, on May 3rd at 2:00 P.M.
