Christine Deagle

Christine Ray Deagle , 63 years old, passed on December 10, 2021 at St Luke’s Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho. Christine was born in Blackfoot, Idaho on July 1, 1958 to Ray and Joan Stringham. Chris met Steve Deagle when their families became neighbors in Twin Falls in 1970. They also went to Robert Stuart Junior High School together. They were friends until Chris moved to Blackfoot with her family. Later Chris moved back to Twin Falls and picked up on their friendship. Christine married Steve Deagle on May 2, 1981 at the Deagle family home. Steve became a dad to 5 year old Shaun. Chris received an Associate of Applied Science Degree at the College of Southern Idaho. She worked as a Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer, most recently for H & R Block as an office manager. Chris had many talents. One was writing poetry. She wrote a poem for Steve’s dad and gave it to him for Father’s Day. She also wrote a poem titled “Christmas Time” that she gave a copy to Steve’s parents and his two sisters. Chris made lots of crocheted afghans and other gifts she gave to family and friends. For Lucille, her mother-in-law, she crocheted a beautiful, large lace tablecloth. Such a lovely, cherished gift. She later crocheted a large doily for the center of the table that Lucille used daily. Chris also made plastic canvas items and macrame for gifts. Chris was a wonderful hostess for many family dinners, including large funeral dinners for several family memorial services. Chris and Steve put up house guests many times for several days at a time for family get togethers. Chris loved being a grandma and spent many weekends with her beloved Shelby. Shelby will miss her grandma time. Chris and Steve have enjoyed camping, dirt bike riding, 4-wheeling, RZR riding, and Jeeping their entire 40 years of marriage. They also went on many trips including to Catalina Island, the Oregon coast, North Carolina and a couple cruises with friends. Chris and her friend Donna had a special trip to Las Vegas for Michael Jackson Tribute. Chris was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Joan Stringham, her brother Stanley, father-in-law Darrell Deagle and brother-in-law Bill Post. Chris is survived by her husband of 40 years, Steven Deagle, son Shaun and daughter-in-law Missy and granddaughter Shelby, Twin Falls, sisters Sandy Louder(Jim), Sharon Ann Sherrill(Terry), mother-in-law Lucille Deagle, sisters-in-law Sharon Post, Darlena (Doug) Huber, nephew Joshua Rovig (Shanon) and great niece Lacie Rovig and many close friends. The funeral will be held Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 at 11 AM at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to the Twin Falls Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.
