Clarissa Joy Twitchell

Clarissa Joy Twitchell, 48, Twin Falls, ID, passed away November 13, 2020 from complications due to COVID. Clarissa was born in Winnebago, Nebraska, May 24, 1972, to John Grant and Rose Marie Dale of Macy, Nebraska. As a very young girl, Clarissa came to live with the Melvin, and Venna Jones family in Wendell, Idaho. The Jones family was a foster family for her mother, Marie, several years before. They raised and loved this cute little Clarissa from the age of 2 yrs. Due to the severity of “Grandma Jones’s” illness, at the age 17 she moved to Tremonton, UT to live with her foster sister, Jeanie (Jones) Stevens and family. The Stevens family adored Clarissa and loved having her and included in their family. In 1992, Clarissa married Migel Beltran in Tremonton, UT, Migel later passed away. She then moved back to Idaho where she met Mike Ivie and together they had two daughters, Kinsey and Raini. After they parted ways, she met and married Dave Twitchell. They were later divorced. Clarissa enjoyed being a mom to her girls protecting them like a “Mama Bear”. To her, family was everything. She loved going to family reunions with the Jones family, where she could catch up on what everyone was doing. Clarissa also loved going to the park, sitting, visiting and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Clarissa enjoyed being together with family and making memories. This last September 2020, Clarissa, Kinsey and Raini, together, took a trip to the Oregon Coast. This is something her daughters will always cherish, having spent time in the beauty of the outdoors with their mother. Clarissa is survived by her daughters, her pride and joy and loves of her life: Kinsey Marie Ivie and Raini Marie Ivie. Surviving Siblings: Lisa, Latisha and Rosco Grant. Her Foster Family: Brothers, Denny, Jerry, Ed, and Don Jones, Sisters Dyan (Jones) Sears, DelOra (Jones) Versleuys, and Fiama (WhiteHawk) Suwanrit and their families. She is preceded in death by: Her parents, John and Marie Grant. Brother, Eric Grant. Her Foster parents, Melvin and Venna Jones. Foster sister, Jeneal “(Jones) Stevens and foster brother, Earl Jones. Clarissa's request was to NOT have a funeral.
