Darrel Lee Lewis

Darrel Lee Lewis age 58 of Hansen, Idaho passed away Oct 31, 2022 as the result of an accident. Darrel was born Jan 2 1964 to Elmer Lee Lewis and Pamala( Cranney) Hohnstein. Darrel was the oldest and was followed quickly by two brothers, Dale and Darren. He was preceded in Death by his Father Elmer Lee Lewis. He is survived by his Mother Pamala Hohnstein, Step Father Darreld Hohnstein,2 Brothers: Dale (Charlotte) Lewis, Darren (Michelle) Lewis, 6 nieces, 4 Great Nieces and 3 Great Nephews. Darrel attended schools in Idaho and Oregon, He was a fierce competitor and participated in football and wrestling in both states. Darrel was the Oregon state Champion wrestler in his weight category in his junior year. He later graduated from Minco High School in Rupert Idaho, Darrell was a wanderer and enjoyed the life of a free spirit. This led him to hold a variety of jobs over the years. He drove semi, worked as a ranch hand and was a carnival ride operator just to name a few. He had a variety of interests. He loved camping in the south Hills and riding 4-wheelers with family. Darrel loved bowling and participated in several leagues and was able to participate in tournaments as far away as Las Vegas. Darrel made friends wherever he went. He truly never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew him. The family will hold a Graveside service at the View Cemetery near Declo on November 19, 2022 at 10:30. A memorial service and luncheon will be held later at 12:00 the same day at the LDS stake center in Kimberly. Everyone is invited to attend.
