Deanna Kay Berks

Deanna was born September 9, 1967, in Jerome, Idaho to Darlene and Duane Hawkins. She graduated from Valley High School in 1985. Deanna grew up on a farm in Hazelton, Idaho where she enjoyed taking care of all animals. In 1989, a daughter was born to Deanna and John Berks (Tony). She would always say that the birth of her daughter, Jessica, was the best moment of her life. Deanna was very proud of Jessica and shared her excitement with everyone around her. Deanna enjoyed her friends and family and her passion for quilting. Her most recent job was providing therapy for adults with disabilities. Deanna was very passionate and dedicated to her work. She treated her clients like they were her own family. She always provided support and love for her friends and family. She could overcome any obstacle that was placed before her. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents Darlene and Duane Hawkins, one sister Dianna Hawkins, and a grandfather Ralph Palmer. She is survived by her daughter Jessica Berks, one brother Dean Hawkins, two sisters Della Hawkins and Debbie Hawkins, and her grandmother Rosemary Palmer. Visitation for Deanna will be held Friday, September 16, 2022, from 6-8 pm at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 11 am at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial donations be made in Deanna's name to the Valley House 507 Addison Avenue W. Twin Falls, ID 83301 or to the Charity of your Choice.
