Deborah R. Akin Mitchell

Deborah Rebecca Akin Mitchell age 66 of Twin Falls, ID passed away peacefully in her home from complications of Lupus on November 20, 2019. Deborah was born in Loma Linda, CA. on June 25, 1953 to Joseph and Hazel (Newby) Akin (later known as Erica Van Wells).  Deborah was the youngest of five children: Ronald, Jerald, James, Darris (later known as Alannah Allbrett), and Deborah.  Deborah completed her GED and studied Art at C.S.I. Deborah loved arts & crafts, sewing, and quilting.  She loved the outdoors by camping, fishing, and gardening.  She played games with her family and was a fierce competitor especially in Canasta, Pinochle, Yahtzee, and Scrabble.  She dearly loved her pet cats especially Streaky then followed by Dusty. Deborah was predeceased by both her parents Joseph Akin of Riddle, OR (1981) and Erica Van Wells of Twin Falls, ID (2003); both of her sons David of Boise, ID (1976) and Jason Akin of Nampa, ID (2010); and her brother Jerry Akin of Twin Falls, ID (2018).  Deborah is survived by her brother Jimmy Akin, sister Alannah Allbrett, daughter Jennifer Campbell, and her two grandchildren Jared Campbell and Julie Campbell.
