Deborah "Debbie" L. Degner

Deborah Lea Degner, born on April 2, 1951, in Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on March 13, 2025, with her family by her side. She grew up in Hansen, where her parents owned a grocery store, before relocating to Twin Falls, where she graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1969.

On May 4, 1975, Debbie married Paul Degner in Buhl, Idaho, and together they raised two daughters, Lyndsay and Angela. In pursuit of her passion for nursing, Debbie graduated from the College of Southern Idaho with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1994. She worked in local nursing homes throughout her career, providing compassionate care to her patients.

Debbie had a lifelong affinity for animals and regularly adopted chihuahuas in her later years. She cherished flowers and delighted in traveling to explore new places and experiences. An amateur photographer, her winning work reflected her artistic eye. Debbie enjoyed attending concerts of her favorite artists and was known for her strong-willed and rebellious spirit. She enjoyed being outdoors and fishing with her husband.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Joy Wright, her brother Vernon Wright, her sister Edna Castro, and her husband, Paul Degner.

She is leaving behind her son Garth (Aimee) Wright; daughters Lyndsay Marsh and Angela (Anthony) Merrill; grandchildren Heaven (Brian) Downing, Mattison Marsh, Lorren Marsh, Abigayle Marsh, Brendan Wright, Tristan Wright, Torin Wright, Brinly Merrill, and Maisie Merrill; great-grandchildren Eedrie, Patricia, Emery, and David; and several nephews and nieces.

Debbie's legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service for Debbie will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 1 PM at the Snake River Canyon National Cemetery, 1585 E Elm St, Buhl, ID 83316.
