Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, uncle, and cousin, Dennis Lee Gearing, passed away peacefully October 24, 2021 in Ogden, Utah where he had lived six years with his daughter, Lori, and son-in-law, Mark Green. Born March 9, 1935 in Santa Barbara, California, Dennis grew up hunting, fishing, and enjoying all things outdoors. At age 16, Dennis joined the military in May, 1953 as a U. S. Naval Reserve Seaman Recruit and finished his career in April, 1958 as an honorably discharged Air Force Airman Second Class. Never settling for monotony, Dennis tackled careers in mining, oil, management, and sales. He and Schana, his devoted and faithful wife of 45 years, were sealed in the Twin Falls, Idaho Temple. They traveled extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, settling in Twin Falls, Idaho to enjoy each other’s company while growing old together. Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Schana W. Gearing; daughter, Debra Ann Peterson; granddaughter Angie; parents, Ed and Ruth Gearing; brothers, Ron, Don, and Chuck Gearing; sisters, Ida Elizabeth Swinney and Linda Correll; and grandson, Jacob Gearing. He is survived by his sons, Mike (Stephanie Lynn), Steve (Vickie) Gearing, and Kelly Mackley; daughters Lori (Mark) Green, and Sandra Bosteder. Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home. Interment and dedication will be held at the Twin Falls Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services.
