Filer

Dennis Eman Jarolimek, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 1, 2024, after a courageous and dignified battle with illness. He is now reunited with his cherished wife, Patricia Jarolimek, who predeceased him.

Born on February 1, 1939, in Nebraska to Gilbert and Helen Jarolimek, Dennis spent his formative years in Filer, Idaho, where he and his sister, Janice, grew up. Together with his father, Dennis undertook a remarkable project to transform sagebrush-covered land into productive farmland, leading to the establishment of G & D Sagebrush Clearing Service. His tireless work earned him the affectionate nicknames “Brush” and “The Engineer” from those who admired him.

A Passionate outdoorsman, Dennis found immense joy in camping and motorcycle trail riding, traditions that became cherished family memories. His adventurous spirit also was evident in his work with the Bureau of Land Management, where he took pride in his rangeland drill seeding projects. Dennis’s love for operating and designing equipment was matched only by his devotion to his loyal canine companions – Dutch, Blue, Smokkee, and his last pup, Rambo. He also enjoyed watching “The Bold and the Beautiful,” a pastime that became a source of fond family jokes and cherished moments.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Helen Jarolimek, and his beloved wife, Patricia “Patty” Jarolimek. He is survived by his sister, Janice (John) Montegna; his children, Carrie (Michael) Lammers, Tammy (Thomas) Schwartz, Pattie (Logan) Hamilton, and Gregory (Terrie) Jarolimek, ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Dennis’s legacy is defined by his unwavering dedication, profound love for his family, and deep connection to the land he cherished. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate hospice workers from Auburn Crest Hospice for their exceptional care and support.
