Diane Marie Hamilton, 75, of Filer passed away on September 8, 2024. Due to complications of dementia / Alzheimer.

Diane was born in Leominster, Massachusetts on December 5, 1948, to Alphonse Downing and Marie Creighton.

Diane was a proud mother to five children. She was also a stepmother to two.

Diane was a hard worker who thrived in many fields. She notably worked for Lamb Weston and Tupperware for many years. However, Diane held her time working as a caretaker for Delta House in Twin Falls closest to her heart.

One of Diane's proudest accomplishments was becoming a published author. She wrote "Tomato Juice: a Tribute to My Mom" recounting her families experiences with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS).

Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Marie Creighton and Alphonse Downing; her daughter Suzann Nielsen, and her step-son Rick Hamilton.

Diane is survived by her husband, Marcus R. Hamilton (Dick); her children, Scott (Kathey) McKinney, Daniel (Wendy) McKinney, Renee (Joel) Mierhoff, and Ariann (Carmelo) Cabral; her step-daughter Tammy (Nelson) Hamilton; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

The Hamilton family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Willow Place Assisted Living in Twin Falls.

A viewing was held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
