Diane Marie Schorzman

October 4, 1949 — August 16, 2024

Twin Falls, Idaho

Diane Marie (Yule) Schorzman gained her heavenly wings on August 16, 2024, and is now dancing with Jesus at the age of 74.

Diane was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 4, 1949, to Wally and Betty Yule, the oldest of 3 siblings.  At age 12 they moved to Indian Creek Ranch in Idaho until the age of 15 which then they moved to Salmon, Idaho where she graduated from Salmon High School in 1967.  Following that she received her Legal Secretary degree at Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington.

Diane then moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1969 where she worked as a legal secretary at various jobs. While in Pocatello she met LeWayne Schorzman who later became her husband. They married in Elko, Nevada on November 19, 1973, before moving from Pocatello to Roseworth, Idaho in the spring of 1975 to farm. They had two children, Jessica and Joshua. Diane helped on the farm, driving a truck hauling spuds and grain. Of course she had her horses. Diane grew up on horses and "loved" horses. She rode dressage for many years and enjoyed her horses with her good friend Marcella Heil who lived up the road from her. She was a freelance writer/photographer for the Farm Times, Farm Lines, various magazines, including the Western Horseman, and several other national and local publications. In 1988 she began work for The Balanced Rock Soil Conservation District. She remained there for 10 years.

In 1990, LeWayne and Diane moved to Castleford, Idaho following which Diane took a full-time job at the Times News as a correspondent/graphic designer. In 2006, she then moved on to the Twin Falls County Court house where she worked until she retired at the end of 2015.

Diane attended the Methodist Church in Buhl and was the Media Coordinator for the Methodist Churches of Magic Valley.

Diane also took classes here and there at CSI and then ISU online and received her Associate Degree in Library Science. Her retirement dream was to join the Peace Corp.

Diane had many passions; painting, drawing, photography (developing her own pictures) and gardening. She loved her yellow roses/flowers. And of course, horses, horses, horses. The last few years before retirement she adopted her two dogs, Sweet Pea and Pearl, whom she spoiled relentlessly with daily walks, drive through burgers and hundreds of dollars in dog treats.

Diane is survived by her daughter Jessica (Clint); her son Josh (Jenni); her grandkids DJ (Austin); Connor, Morgan, Dairian (Michael); and her great grandkids Gus, Montana, Paisley and Layne; and her sister Donna Yule.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Gary.

We want to thank Ashley Manor of Kimberly; Christina, Savannah and ALL the care staff there for the wonderful, compassionate, amazing care they gave mom in her 3 1/2 years with them. There are no words to express our gratitude and thanks. You all will always be our family. Any donations or flowers can be sent to Ashley Manor of Kimberly in remembrance of Diane.

A graveside service for Diane will be held at a later date at the Salmon Cemetery in Salmon, Idaho next to her parents and brother Gary.

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
